Will this work (brake calipars)?
I want to paint my calipars Pewter to match my car but no one seems to make a high temp color that is very close so.......if I prime my calipars with high temp primer, then paint them pewter(with regular paint) then use high temp clear do you think they will last.

Mine too. Unless you are tracking your car and really working your brakes, regular paint is not a problem.

Your method of high temp first will work, too. Just get a few good coats of high temp before you put the final color on, and you'll be good to go.
Whatever you do, make sure you clear coat it, so it'll hold up against the elements.
