Default 2001 C5 Conv - Glass separating from vinyl

I just noticed this, but my mom had the car the past week, and I just saw that the glass on the right side of the top (from the rear of the car) is separating from the vinyl - I called courtesy chevy, they referred me to an upholstry shop to fix it.

asked if it was a common problem on the car, he said "yes, and the camaro, mustang" - is there a recall for this? the 1993 40th is still in great shape, and has 4k miles less than this one, currently at 64k.

Is there an adhesive that can repair the glass back to the vinyl, or do I have to get it re-sewn at an upholstry shop?

Do you mean the glass is separating from the cloth top?
Search the Forum there are a few posts of success(limited)that I have read, but I don't remember what they used with certainty. I think ( but don't rely on it )that one used black RTV.
I believe that the OEM adhesive is a hot melt.
Repairs are tough, unfortunately many just get a new top...

I used JB weld on mine, that was over 1 1/2 years ago, it's still holding fine.

I'm going to use the adhesive

3M™ Super Weatherstrip Adhesive

I want to repair it once, not every 4 years.

Lucky y'all! I got a new one but I know down the road in couple years, it will fall again.
