Default TPIS headers with stock cats?

Does anyone have TPIS headers installed with their stock cats? If so, how much power did you pick up?

Ideally, I'd like to install the headers with a Random Tech X-pipe with high-flow cats. I'm trying to decide if I should just install the headers now with the stock cats and mid/H-pipe, or just wait until I have the money to install them with a Random Tech X-pipe and high-flow cats.

Thanks.

I have the TPIS LTs with the Random Tech X-pipe/Cats setup. I haven't dynoed since I got them installed cause I have to have it tuned. I figured It would be a waste to know what an "untuned" setup was giving me just for the hell of it. When I go to tune it they will baseline dyno before they tune it so I'll know then.

I'll let you know as soon as I do.

IMO though I would say go with the X-pipe. I've seen a significant reduction in the popping noise when decelerating...It's not gone altogether but I use to get it a lot more. I'm sure the Xpipe and hiflos will net you a few more ponies too...but again, that's just my opinion cause I haven't dynoed it yet...

Good Luck...
Mike

I agree with Mike and in the same situation. I have the TPIS headers, random flow cats, X pipe and Corsa indys. I've not had a tune done but do have that on the list this spring. All I can say is I've done a few bolt ons and nothing compared to the thrill of WOT the first time with the headers.

I will say there is a lot of popping going on. So much that it could bother a lot of folks. It's not big deal to me but I do push in the clutch on occassion to get rid of the popping. But no big deal.......

I have TPIS headers, no precats and stock main cats with SLP xpipe and Loudmouths with a Vararam in the front. After a tune, I'm making 332hp and 352tq at the wheels. No other engine mods. Yeah, I'd say it's worth it.

Is that with or without a tune? How did the headers affect gas mileage?
Those are some nice numbers, but I'd expect to put down less since my car's a '99 and yours is an '03.

That's with a tune.
And fuel mileage went up on the highway, but down overall since I'm putting my foot in it more now.

Did you use the adapter that TPIS includes to connect the headers to the main cats?
