Instead of drilling the oil temp sensor/ oil pan to run inlet and outlet lines for my new blower, can i use a sandwich oil filter adaptor, and just run the outlet and return lines to the blower?
That would move your oil filter to low to the ground. My ECS Paxton kit came with a sandwich adapter for the side of the block where the oil temp sensor is located. Then just taped the oil pan for the drain. The drain side is not high pressure... Looks kinda like this but only 1 fitting for the blower line. This one is for an oil cooler
No, you can't do that. That would provide pressure on the return side which is not what you want. I have an adaptor and line for the oil feed that I used for my RMCR setup. It came from my original Vrotech kit. I'll make you a deal if interested.
For the return the most correct way to do it is to tap the pan. You need to use a rota broach to put the hole in the pan and an 3/8" NPT tap to thread the hole. I may have a spare rota broach "in stock" bit I can't remember for sure if I do. Download the C5 Vortech instructions from the Vortech web site. It will show you exactly what you need to do. It will also show you how to wire up the aftercooler pump.
