I've been looking at cams for a while and I am looking at going with a comp cams 224/228 .534/.537 on a 112 LSA or their 228/230 .571/.573 on a 112 LSA. Any thoughts on these or suggestions? I have full dynatech LT's/cats/X-Pipe and LS6 heads that will be going on at the same time. I want good mid-range torque/HP gains as well as a decent lope. Oh yea, QTP cutouts off headers as well so I want it to sound good. Thanks.

If you think about it, if you use a cam with the same lift as stock, and same lobe ramp rate, but just more duration, there shouldn't be any impact on spring life. So I guess it depends on how you define big. Spring stress depends on total lift, and the rest of the parts, depend on lift rate (which increase acceleration and requires heavier springs).
