May want to do a search on this one. It has been beat to death for the last 2 yrs. LG pro is full stainless which is nice and you may see a little more low-end. You'll have to decide if it's worth the extra money. Lot of other players out there also.

Comparing the Kooks to LG:
Power band: LG + 1
Ease of Install: LG +1
Cost: Kooks + 1

I absolutely dread installing kooks headers. Pulling the starter is simply a P I T A.

I have Kooks- and though I didn't install them myself, they are quality parts no doubt... 3" High Flow Cats and 3" X-Pipe is very nice...I understand from my installer that they had to jack the motor up on each side to get them in do to the equal length tubes and their bends...I love them, they sound great with my Z06 catback...I got them slightly used (a few hundred miles for about $900 shipped)

Now saying that- I would opt for the LG Streets and their reduced price (roughly the same price I paid for my used Kooks) if I had to do it myself...

From what I gather they are much easier to install, and that would be a great selling point for me if I was going to do it myself...all of the LT's with the exception of the LG Pro's are going to net roughly the same RWHP #'s (LG Pros speculate + 5 HP do to the special merge collector they use and a non stamped X-Pipe)

If I can suggest, get the least expensive set you can find and deal with the laborous install - its a price factor for all but the LG Pros since in the end, the HP #'s will be very close...

Hope this helps! oh, and do yourself a favor and buy a reinforcement tunnel plate that is also heat treated (+\- $200) well worth the $$ for what it does and the heat it reduces!

Because of this particular point I was torn between LG Pro and QTP tri-Y (both have characteristics of low end TQ); ended up going w/ LG Pro's as their reputation for service and support among forum members is very good.

Our car spends most of it's life in low/mid-range rpm band so that's where I'd enjoy the increase most.

Ive had kooks for two years and they have about 6000 miles on them.

They are browning/ rusting more than Id like.

IF id did it again, the kooks arent bad, but Id have them coated.

My brake master cylinder got scratched up nicely while trying to wiggle them in place.

Stands for Loud Gogetter!

Really, it's for LG Motorsports a Forum Supporting Vendor. Check the LG listing to the left under headers.

LG are the initials of Lou Gigliotti, who is the owner of LG Motorsports. By the way their headers are manufactured by Borla who's been doing ss systems for a long time.

I've got the LG Street Series 0n my car and i like them a lot. Everybody's going to recomend the headers that they've got on their car lol. You just have to figure out who's got the best product for the ammount of money you're willing to part with. Both Kooks and LG have been in the business of headers for a while so you wouldn't be bad served by buying either. Unless your car spends all its time in the 4000-6000rpm range though you could probably benefit from the LG's a little more. When i installed mine i got over 50rwhp at 2500rpm. It was a totally different car. Check out the dyno sheet in my signiture.

Whatever you get, make sure it's Stainless Steel

Hey Shane, aren't you talking about rwtq not rwhp at 2500 rpm? Impressive numbers anyway. What other mods do you have and are you using hiflo cats or straight pipes?
