I'm in the process of this conversion on a '98 C5 which has the rear mounted ABS module. I am unable to locate a 6 speed transmission harness for this application. I am looking at the A4 trans harness and would like to know what is necessary to use it with the MN6 transmission. Any one with experience doing this that can provide advice...
Thanks

Give this place a call Contemporary Corvette (215) 788-8605 ask for Guy. They specialize in vettes and I purchased my brake, clutch pedals and wiring harness for a 2001 from them for $350.
He's some time relunctant to sell parts as he mainly sells complete set-ups fro the hod rod group. You'll see them as Fparts on ebay.
You need to pull the battery out of your car. You will see a bunch of white tags with dates on them. You will then need to search for a wiring harness for manual transmission before that or around that date.
You won't easily be able to use your A4 harness because it has all of the wrong wires for the transmission, back-up lights, saftey switch, etc.
You would basically have to make your own if you tried to use A4.
I'm not sure what options you have, but the speed sensors are also on the tranny wiring harness.
My car is currently up on a lift doing the exact opposite of you. I had a M6, and I'm swapping in an A4. I thought I had got all the wiring stuff I need (A4 trans harness from '97), but my shop just called and said they don't want to do all the splicing and told me to go find a complete harnes from an A4 (engine and trans). This is the only clean way to do the swap.
So, I am in the opposite predicament as you right now. I need a complete 97-98 A4 harness, NOW!!! Any chance yours is ready to ship and we could trade? That would be so insanely awesome if we could both help each other out like that. My M6 harness would be EVERYTHING you need, it's a 1997 with the ABS in back. I need the WHOLE harness though, motor and trans, EVERYTHING that goes to the PCM. Trust me, you want the same... makes things so much easier not having to splice.
Let me know... fingers crossed!

Shirl,
You might also try either Phil at DTE or Andy at A&A. Both these guys do some pretty serious work for folks involving extensive engineering sometimes.
BTW, good to see you posting on here again. Thought you might have gone away.
