ok... with the power on the car off.. and the harnesses disconnected... can you force the butterfly in your throttle body open or move it.?? or should it be stuck stiff???
mine wont budge at all and im thinking it might be the cause of all my problems right now.. i think the little actuator motor or whatever has froze up...
It is spring loaded so it don't move really easy but mine only took one finger to push it open. You can hear the gears and motor turning as you move it open. Sound like yours may be stuck. Take it off and check it out. Could be the electric motor, gear box, or throttle shaft stuck. TB is very easy to pull and you should be able to tell real quick what the problem is.
Note: Mine was not spring loaded all the way closed. You can push it more closed, and more open with one finger.
AWESOME NEWS.. lol that means my throttle module probably isnt bad!! sawwweeet!! it has probably 1/8" of play in it where i can close it a little tiny bit more... it WILL NOT OPEN any more than its at... i kinda figured that would be a problem...
sweet.. im kinda excited... other than a new throttle body is rediculously priced...

Once you track it down, if it's the throttle body, it looks to be a 17113669 (same for LS1 or LS6 through '02) Call Bob or Tom at Fichtner Chev (forum vendor) 1-800-234-5284. They can save you big bucks over list price at your local stealership. BTW, a new one includes a new throttle position sensor with it. HTH
