When I have the A/C on in my '98, I get cold air from the driver's side and only warm air from the passenger side, despite the passenger side temperature **** being on cold. About the same time this developed, I hear intermittent "grunting" noises from somewhere behind the A/C control unit. Do you guys know what needs to be done to fix this problem? Is it a dealer repair or something fairly straightforward that I can fix myself? By the way, I just replaced my original A/C control unit with a rebuilt one for other reasons (the digital display went out). These problems developed before I did this so it must be something else. Thanks a lot!
Disconnect your battery cable over night and connect it again the next morning. Make sure that you give it time to loose the memory in the radio station presets etc. Doing this sometimes helps to reboot the system.
With regards to disconnecting the battery. I disconnected it for a day and a half and the radio still stores the preset stations. About how long do I need to let it sit for? If that doesn't work, I'll take it back to the dealer. They're getting to know me very well there! Thanks.
