Default C5 wheels on a C4? Possible?

Hey guys,

I may be selling some C5 rims to a guy with a C4 and we were both wondering if the offset will be correct? His C4 has 16" wheels all around and also worries if he puts 275's and 245's on it that they'll cause interference..... Anyone tried this?

Default Offset?

If his car has 16" wheels chances are it is a 1984 thru 1987. If that is the case the offset is very wrong for that car and for it to look right he will need spacers.

Ok. You're exactly correct two, his is an '84... Kind of a sad rig, but he want's C5 rims on it! If spacers'll do it then maybe he'll go for it. Thank you for your help.

On the 84-87 you will need 1-1.25" adapters. On the 88-96 they will bolt right up.

If using 1" adapters, check and make sure the stock lugs that stick through don't interfere with the wheel mounting surface.

Correct. In 88 they revised the suspension.

If you look, this is why 84 Corvette suspensions are desirable for many of the Pro-touring donor cars they have anrrower track width, etc...

88 and later is fine. Before that needs spacers.
