Hey guys, one of the things I did to my SS when I swapped my clutch was to pull the master cylinder and drill out a restriction in the line that runs to the slave. Is such a restriction present on the C5, and if so, can someone point me to a "how to" page to pull it and remove it? Thanks!
The Vette is actually easier than the Fbody. The Vette master doesn't bolt in it just twist out (to the left) and twist back in (to the right).
AWESOME! It was a major pain in the *** in my camaro, I had to lay upside down on the seat with my head jammed in the pedals to get to those damn bolts! Finally SOMETHING is easier on this car. I swear, I would take a cramped F-body engine bay over this thing any day as far as having to do stuff like drop the drivetrain. This car sucks to work on!

this seems what you are paying $100(after core)w/ some shops that mod the slave cylinder, pop the pin on the hyd. line at the slave, drill the hole out using a 1/8" bit, done
On the corvette do you have to drill both sides of the line? The one at the Slave and the one at the Master? One write up says drill out the Master side. The other says drill out the Slave side. Am I confused?

No, you're not confused. In the Y-Body hydraulic line there are three restrictions. One in the slave, one where the line meets the master and another in the 90 degree bend in the hard line. You will need to drill all three out to remove the restriction.
Thanks for the link. But now it just got worse. Which end of the 90 needs to be drilled? And if you remove the two end restrictions will they help at all due to the middle restriction?
I don't recall the specifics. The other option is to get a hold of a hydraulic line from an F-Body which is just braided stainless steel hose from the CMC to the quick disconnect.
