Default BADLY Need Short output shaft help (!!!)

I need to know if anyone in here as done the short side, I have to do mine, and I'm hung up. I hadn't realized I was going to need a press for the short side (damnit!) which isnt too big of a problem, I have one at the shop, however I dont see what is going to keep the gear from walking down the shaft. Does anyone have a write up on this, or have done it that could answer some questions?

okay scratch the riding down the shaft question, that makes sense now I see w/ one of the broken diffs that it seats against the clutch pack and it would just engage the clutches. Okay, so now my question is, how do you know when your completely pressed on, too far could be an issue... I just need someone who has done this to post up for me, everyone does the short side, and with a twin disc clutch and T-72 on board, that won't cut it.

Contact Phil at DTE - very helpful and could probably assemble one of these blindfolded (or, at least like this ).

If you like, I can also send you the procedures out of the manual. Email me at edbon@insightbb.com
