Default Need Help with Engine Sucking air

My vette is making a high pitch air sucking noise, I'm pretty sure its the throttle body and I know there is a Fix by GM but having problems finding out what it is on the forum. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks. I also looked in tech tips but no joy.

is it an '01? some of the early LS6 manifolds seemed to have this noise problem

if it's a noise, can't see it being a big deal

vacuum leak? ck the HVAC hose on the back of the manifold, replace the intake to head seals and t/b seal

are you near Orlando?

sounds like the early LS6 intake manifold whistle, never heard one myself, let it be IMHO, otherwise about 400 for a newer version intake

Old mechanic's trick:

Get a piece of tubing about three feet long, 3/4 to an inch in diameter. Put one end up to your ear and move the other end around the engine untill you locate EXACTLY he noise originate. That will git you a better idea of what you are faced with andhow to go about fixing it. !

Let us know what you find.

Mine makes this whistling sound also as if i have a blower on the car. The funny thing is it only does it after i have been driving the car for a little while. I can't pinpoint where it is coming from. Almost sounds like its coming from the passengers side down towards the header?? Any other advice??
