I'm getting DTC C1226 - RF excessive wheel speed variation - when the car exceeds 80 mph. Also noticed during new pad/rotor break-in, under hard braking the right front locks up. Wheel speed sensor/hub/bearing ***'y?
TIA,
Keith

Your code indicates the following.

EBCM detects a rapid variation in the wheel speed. (i.e. more than 10mph in .01 seconds).

Could be faulty wheel sensor or electrical noise. One of you stated that you have stainless steel lines. Try moving wheel sensor wires away from brake lines

i'd start w/ the speed sensor harness(about 2 ft long, connects the speed sensor/hub to the harness on the xmember), swap L to R

still have the 1226? then i'd swap the hubs(about an hour) to see if the code follows

this way you narrow it down to the harness or speed sensor/wheel bearing/hub(all the same, diff names) and use the bcm to troubleshot the broken component for you

there is a spin ck on the wheel bearings, i don't have the desired results, ck the shop manual

also reseat the ebcm plug

Did it start immediately?

I have the 1225 code (left side), but have SS line for about 8 months now.. Happens after going over small bumps..

I am going to get the sensor harness plugs changed, drive it, & if it still pops, then the hub..

4/21/06.. driving to the track, the 1225 popped AGAIN, 3 weeks AFTER hub & harness replacements!
Now what? Ground the SS brake line? HELP/ADVICE?
Anyone STILL getting 1225 AFTER hub/harness replacement?

I have been having the same issues...1225 and 1226. Yesterday i spliced in 2 new female connectors to the harness and replaced the extension harness on both sides. Wouldn't you know it, the problem went away. Bill C. was right, it's the female connectors
