Default Radiator Replacement Question

I need to replace my radiator, the drain fitting housing is cracked (plastic tank) and I do not want it to start leaking if I try to drain it. I am replacing it with a DeWitts so this will not be an issue in the future.

I recently replaced the skid plate (thanks for all the suggestions and responses I got on this from you all!), and did not notice the drain fitting condition at that time. My question is - can I remove the radiator from the top, and if so, do I need to remove the hood? The assembly manual (2000) says to lower the radiator (?). Does this mean that I have to reverse the skid plate install procedure (front bumper, skid plate, etc.) Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

No, it will come right out the top. The fans are removed by sliding in to the driver's side and then rotating the fan assembly counter clockwise so the passenger side disengages from the tabs. I took photo's so I could tell where all the wires go back. It is rather heavy, so a second pair of hands will help prevent scratches and banging up the fins in the condenser. Good luck.

Thanks again for the help. The radiator went in in about an hour. There were no issues, and everything came out from the top. The most difficult part was the wire loom retainers, I ended up breaking a few and had to replace them. While I had it apart I cleaned the AC coil. It runs well, no leaks, and the gauge is steady at 200 degrees.
