There may have been a thread on this before, but I could'nt find it. Could someone tell me if a 02 vert is already wired for a CD changer? Or point me to the right thread? Thanks.
It's possible that your vette had the changer from the factory and for some reason, maybe someone took it out. If it wasn't factory, it doesn't have the wiring. You'll have to buy a "COR-HAR" from a vendor. This is the cable that runs from the passenger floor board to the changer. There are two plugs in the passenger floor board by the fuse panel that plug into the wiring. COR-HAR runs around $66 new. Search the FAQ and there should be a picture of what two plugs to look for. I'm not at home, otherwise I'd take a quick pick of mine for you. Sometimes you can find someone selling a changer, magazine, brackets and harness in the parts section. HTH

If it didn't come with a changer, the harness going from the pass. footwell to the back will need to be installed, connected to the plugs shown in the pic above. See this thread for my and two other reviews on installing the changer in vettes that don't have them:

Mine was real hard to find. It had some paper wrapped around it and was stuffed behind a metal bracket on the right side. Just keep looking, it's there.
