? for A4 owners?
Just got off the phone with Bob @ Fichtner and he said there is a deep and a shallow tranny pan. Looks like I have the shallow one. IS there a difference in capacity? I would guess yes but I'm not certain!

I don't know about there being different pan depths. If there is a deeper pan it will more than likely hold more fluid. :chevy

I ran into this when I took mine in to have the transmission serviced. Hadn't heard of it either but I took it to Tony's Corvette Shop which is a very well respected shop in my area and that's what they told me.

Ron can you be more specific? How did you find out that you have the shallow one? by model year? by part number? by measurement?

Ive heard of this. There is a deep and shallow pan part # for the a4 trans. Just look at the trans pan, its easy to tell the difference. Mine had the deep one.
