I’ve seen the install for the front brakes, but I’m worried about that ‘pin’ thing that seems to spring loose when people attempt to do their rear brake rotor swap.
It's just as simple as the front. I've never heard of a "pin" popping out?
Remove the 2 large (21mm?) bolts that hold the caliper on. Take off the old rotor and replace with the new. A long breaker bar helps.
You are refering to the spring that sometimes pops off the ebrake shoes when too much force is applied...
if you put some penitrating oil around the alignment hub allow it to sit then tap the old rotor off with a heavy hammer.. trying not to applt too much force or move the rotors too **** it. If it comes off squarely there will be no problem.. also make sure the ebrake is not engaged.
ET, that is exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for the information! So even if the spring does come out, the worst thing is that my e-brake won't work!? I could live with that for a week or so until I could get it fixed. I just wanted to ensure it wouldn't render my car un-driveable.
When I put my bling, drilled and slotted rotors on, I had a hell of a time getting the right side rotor off, the E - brake shoes were hanging the rotor up, I ended up taking my dead weight hammer a block of wood and tapped all around the rotor, tug a little and tapped a little until she finally came off. Be sure when your pulling on the rotor that your pulling it square. The left one was a piece of cake, tapped once or twice and she slid off into my waiting hands

Thanks again,
If it pops off, you can put it back....its just tricky and there isnt much room to work.. two pair of needle nose pliers will help.
I knocked my parking brake spring off during the removal of the right rear rotor..
Two long needle nose pliers and I was able to get ti back in position. It took a bit of fiddling and about 5 minutes...
this is a previous thread... i posted a diagram of its positioning
