Anyone Remove the Battery Surround ?
I took mine out last fall to do some engine work and I am asking if their is any point to put it back in?
So what do you think ?

Put i back it helps keep the battery cool and heat helps to kill your battery (they go bad fast enough)

its there to catch battery acid when and if the battery has an issue.
Luckily it worked when my factory a/c delco decided to puke.

Plus it helps keep the dirt/sand/general crap away from the battery/fusebox area too. There's a lot of wiring harnesses over behind the battery, plus the PCM and TAC module is/are underneath the battery too. The extra protection is worth keeping it IMHO.

I strongly suggest, if you haven't already done so, that you remove, clean and reassemble that ground stud (G104) under there before you replace the shroud.

I threw mine away when I installed a Sear's Die-Hard battery about 30,000 miles. No problems have come up yet.
