Some contractor was pressure cleaning my garage and when I lifted it...some of the water went on my black beauty..Now..there are about (10) marks that look like water marks but will not come off ...besides writting a letter to the company, is there anything I can use to help get the marks out of there or not?????
Thanks,
Upset

You lifted the door, knew it was wet from the pressure wash, so I don't see how it is the contractors fault and writting a letter will help. Take a pic of the spots and posted it in the car care section if you have not done so already. The detailing gurus can help you out.

Try using a clay bar. Follow the directions. Good luck.

With any luck they are like sun spots, the sun has heated it and in essence burnt it into the paint. I have had water do this to my car. Get out your buffer and some wax, I was able to get the spots out of my car, hopefully you can to. If that doesn't work you might have to try some rubbing compound.
Thanks for the info.....sorry about posting in more than one forum... more responses
Thanks,
Tony
After looking at the threads you have posted, almost EVERY thread you have started you have done it in MULTIPLE sections of the forum.
Based on your post count you are fairly new here. So just so you know, you are only allowed to post one thread on any one topic. After that thread has gone a page with little to no responses, you are allowed to post it in a different section. If you dont follow those guidelines, the mods will start deleting your threads.
BTW, I would try some sort of light rubbing compound. After that, polish it out.
I will try that, and thanks for the advice...

The same exact thing happened to me last year. It's hard to get ALL of the water out of the garage door without opening it first! I also had some spray on the car that had worked it's way through the closed door. Fortunately, I just had to use Maguires' spray detailer and it took all of the water spots off without any damage. Be careful with compound on your black paint. If you have to use anything stronger, start with a paste wax, and if that doesn't work - a cleaner wax for clear coat paints - and finally if no success, use 3M Finessit liquid. Start with a watered down solution, and add more product to your solution until it works. Then polish with a paste wax. Finessit is a finishing product, and the last step to polish a fresh paint job. Excellent product.
