Air Conditioning ?
On my 97 the other day I pushed the button for air conditioning and the light on the button blinked about 4 times and then went out. It is equipped with dual controls for passenger and driver but one button for the air. The fan controls work but no cool air. What could it be?

Not exactly the same but my girl's Toyota Camry did this last week. Took it to the dealer and a really cool rep explained the Camry has a low-pressure switch which does not engage the compressor clutch when there is less than a certain amount of refrigerant in the system. The light blinks to advise the driver (really the tech) that there is not enough pressure in the system. Might want to check for leaks with that green dye they use to pinpoint the source of the leak. Don't know if it's the same on the Vette but you'll want to check the refrigerant pressure level...

I have the same problem. My battery went dead and when i replaced it with a new battery the A/C didn't work properly?? I checked the fuses and they are all fine, what's the next step?? i live in Bakersfield, CA where it is EXTREMELY hot so i need to fix this problem ASAP withing spending $1000's of dollars at the so-called dealership here in town.

The manual in my '01 states that the blinking green light that subsequently goes out means low pressure on the R134a.
You could top it up yourself, but it is better to find out what is causing the leak.
