I have a 2001 6 speed convertible that I need to replace the run flats. Occassionally (3 to 4 times a year) will autocross the car in NCCC stock class (I-SH). So, I have scrubbed the edges of these tires enough that they now howl pretty good. Plus there is not much tread left either.
So, I want to replace them with a non run flat tire that will handle better than these rocks and will ride better as well. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated. The car does not come out in the rain, so only concerned about wet handling if I am caught in a sudden storm.
Thanks for the information so far! Has anyone have any experience with the Goodyear GS D3s? I am seeing some positive stuff on these tires, but I have not seen anyone actocross with them. Just a reminder, I only autocross a few times a year, so this will not be the key decision maker on the tires.
I just put on the Kumho ecsta non run flats replacing my GDYear F1s and I am supper happy with the better and smoother feel, great handling too for me in my daily driver.
I have Avon Tech M500's, I love them. A salesman at the tire rack who also has a C5, talked me into them over the Eagle F1. I've used Avon's on my motorcycles for years, with good results, but was a little skeptical about them for my C5. 4000 miles on them so far and they still look brand new.

I wanted the BFG KDs (not kdws) as they have the reputation as being the best dry performance street tire on the market. Problem is that every store over the winter had the right or left rear tire in 295/35/18s back ordered, and they were just not available. Have the KUHMO Ecsta MXs and they are decent but really wanted the KDs.
Does anybody know whether 295.35.18s in BGF KDS are now availabe anywhere, now that the car season has officially begun for most of the Country!!
