my car only has 18k miles on it. I just put a brand new Spec Stage 3 clutch and fully built tranny, lingenfelter output shafts, and a Ripper shifter in my car no more than 1500 miles ago. Now my clutch seems to be engaging 1/2 an inch from the floor, its hard for my to put the car into 1st and reverse and when the clutch is all the way in theres a vibration through out the car. Does this sound like i need to replace my master? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
You could get an adjustable master and see if that helps... clearly if it's hard to get in gear and engaging at 1/2 above floorboard, the clutch is not fully disengaging which is why it's hard to get into gear. If you put the car on a level surface and let it idle and push the clutch in and then slowly go into first gear, if the car rolls forward your clutch is not fully disengaged (altho my stock 04 Z does this slightly and my Camaro always did it). Adjustable master would help this situation. Shudder is weird though, doesn't seem like a hydraulic issue would cause that.
