C6 Z06 shifter install problems
I'm installing a C6 Z06 shifter but seem to be having a problem. The shifter won't move. Even tried it without the linkage connected. I know I expected more effort but I've put a bit of force into it and it doesn't budge. Is there something I'm missing or did I get a bad shifter? The stock one seems to move freely.

Pull the 90 degree pin in the front up. That pin is in the down and locked position so you can adjust the linkage with the shifter in the neutral position and then pulled up to unlock the shifter for use. You can see the pin in the base of the C6 shifter in the pic below.
