Drain On My Battery??????
I have a 99 coupe. I love it! The other day I drove it and went out the next day to start it and the battery was dead. Took it out and charged it but when I went to put it back I could hear something click on. It sounded like it was comming from the front passenger side a little back from the light. Any answer to this drain? Key is out of the car also. Thanks.

When you hook the battery back up you will hear relays click. that is normal. If your battery dies again have it tested. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. Its is pretty common for these batterys to die overnight. Usally neads a battery replacement. If you have a currint draw problem, that could be a real headache. You can start buy pulling fueses for things that gave constant power in the fuse box and see if you find one that is causing the draw. Or with anything "aftermarket" Rember though some things are on a timer. They might shut off after a preset time. I would leave that to a pro

When you first hook up the battery, there are a couple of circuits and modules that come on line. Like the BCM, the security circuits, interior lights, memory seats ect ect!!! After a while (about 60-90 seconds, the circuits start dropping off line (if not used) and the BCM and the security circuits go into sleep mode. In sleep mode, your battery drain current draw should right around be 0.02 amps or 20 milli amps.
If it's much more than that, you have something that is not turning of or something that is being left on.
