Default Window Commander for the C5...details inside

Window Commander for C5:

The Window Commander gives you the capability to raise and lower the power windows with the factory key fob remote control. The driver side window has a one-touch auto-up control like the factory auto-down function. Detailed operating instructions and special notes are listed on the last page of the instructions. This product is designed so a person of average mechanical skill can perform the installation with these detailed instructions. However, if you are uncomfortable with this type of automotive interior work, any professional alarm/stereo shop should be able to do the work for you. Installation involves placing a small enclosure in each door, requiring removal of both door panels. There are four (4) connectors to plug inside each door as well. No wire cutting is required. Expect approximately 1 hour for installation.

RG, I have the window commander for several months now, and I highly recommend it, especially for convertible owners. I no longer have to get back into the car after raising the top to turn on ignition and hold window buttons. Just put it up, latch the drivers side, go to other side and latch, and press lock button twice while I walk away. The windows are up, and the doors locked. When I go back to the car on a hot day, I can lower the windows as soon as I'm close enough to activate the door locks. The car is aired out by the time I get to it.
It only took about 20 minutes to install the first one, and only a few minutes for the second.

This product would be very handy for C5 racers who open trailer their cars. In fact, it's a must with a hardtop.

I have to crawl out the hatch in my coupe because I can't open the doors on the trailer without hitting the fenders. Once I have the harness bar in, I won't even be able to do that!

Guess I should order one sooner rather than later!
