Default Fuel Filler manual cable replacement

Ok, ,here it is, the pull cable for the fuel filler door was found in the rear compartment not connected. I never pulled it and there was no fraying on the end of the cable. I was 800 miles from home and fortunately the elec. release worked well. My manuals were gone with katrina and I have no tech info. Does anyone have information how to make this repair. I know it is not a crisis as long as the elec release works, but given my luck,,

So thanks in advance. 99 Nassau Blue.. Jim

Thanks for the help.. but I prefer to keep the car origional and not carry extra weight. Apparently no one has ever had this problem so I will figure out how to do it and make the necessary repairs. I do know it can be repaired in one of two ways.

1) Tell dealer to fix it
2) Fix it myself

I will use #2 without the saw. 99 Nassau Blue
