Default Info on solid axle conversion

A coworker of mine wants to buld a lsx powered street/strip car and why not a c5 instead of a f-body. I know their are some of you that have converted to a 9" and a front mounted turbo 400. I am just interisted in some info or pix of the conversion. The fab work is not a issue and he has a $15k frc availble to him (not mine ) Any major headaches he should look out for, trans clearincing, fuel tanks, ect.
Thanks!

Dont mean to be a smart *** but the fab work is a huge issue. Pretty much have to build a new trans tunnel. No way no how will an auto fit as is. Been under my car enough to know it can be done though. Back end has nothing but room for a 4 link. Bottom of my car is stripped clean right now for chassis paint. Maybe Ill get a couple pics up.

No prob Are you doing the conversion? The way I understood it that their is "minor" clearincing for the trans. The trans pan area soposedly fits in the cat area. The exhaust is a tight squeese though. Thats why I would like to find some pix of the conversion.

ECS can hook you up with a 400 conversion for around $7500 but this will not include the solid rear.
