leaky crank seal
i have a leaky crank seal, but, i dont have $700.00 for my local stealer to fix it. through this forum and ls1 howto, i have done enough research to tackle the job. i have learned alot about most things that may trouble me. however nobody talks about the traction control unit which is my next obstacle. does anyone have advise on what to do with it? do i remove it from the bracket? do i remove the bolts holding the bracket and just pull it away enough to get to the power steering pump? any advice would be great! you guys gave me the confidence to start this job, i hope you can provide me with the knowledge to complete it, thanks in advance, SPIKE

Traction control or the ABS? The ABS modules sits on the bracket that mounts to the driver's side of the steering rack. If that is what you mean, I tied it up with a rope and left it in place. I used the rope to keep the weight off of the brake lines.
