The other day while coming home from a trip to the shore.. I was cruising about 80 OH NO!!!.... Up ahead I saw a big depresion in the road... I could not change lanes... I flipped on my flashers... BRIGHT YELLOW LIGHTS,,, from my Euro's..... Immediately all three lanes behind me slowed down .. if I just had my red lenses.. people would have thought I was just hitting the brakes.. But the yellows immediatly get peoples attention.. I got mine from Shawn at LAPD... I bought the clear/red lenses...they conform more to the cars rear end.. backup light lenses..
Re: New Justification Found for Euro Tail Lights.. (Anders)
When I was in Japan almost all cars, had amber parking lamps and turn signals. Red was only for brake lamps. It made since, if you saw red tail lights, anytime, that ment someone is stopping.
In the US we have to make a decision is it red or brighter red.
Re: New Justification Found for Euro Tail Lights.. (JohnGlenn)
I installed the Euros mainly for the safety factor. I was annoyed by the drivers that could so accurately coordinate their brake, signal, banzai left/right turn maneuver, (which makes it appear that the opposite turn signal is the one flashing, for the first cycle). I realized that the 'vette lights had the same problem. I went with the red/clear combo with amber bulbs. Now I'm assured that when I signal, people behind know that I'm moving, not braking.
