I am in the process of installing a set of headers and everything has been put back together.
There is one plug near the starter (had to remove) that I CANNOT find a place for. The plug does not stretch for more than a foot so it belongs in the starter area. It is coming from a sheathed loom along with the connections to the starter.
The car will crank strong but it will not start, I am guessing it has to do with this plug not being connected, everything else is fine.
I have a pic to show the plug in question. The picture is taken looking down from the battery area.
I don't have the manual near me now, but isn't there a crank position sensor on the passenger side of the engine, just above the starter? That would explain the no-start condition. Any codes reported on the DIC?
Hard lesson, but having been there myself, a little strip of masking tape and a Sharpie work wonders in helping one get complex systems put back together again. Iknow you don't need to hear that now, and if I could help you with that plug, I certainly would. I have confidence, however, that this forum will eventually come to your rescue!! If not, try calling your local Chevy service manager, describe the plug to him (it looks to be color coded, so that should help him) and see if he can tell you what it is and where it goes. HTH.
I hear you...guess that's why I drove 9+ hours to have the Drs. do the install. What the h, gave me a chance to do a road trip and get a tune at the same time. Kind of hard to do from N.M. however............
