Alright, I dont know what it is. I lubed the swaybar bushings and it didnt help. Whenever I hit bumps, dips, and even leave from a stop and accelerate theres is loud ruckess coming from the shocks, I suspect. Even when I get out/in the car it makes this screeching/squeeking/compressing sound. Its like any pressure or compression on the shocks makes this annoying noise. Any ideas?
I just bought a 2000 coupe with 32K miles on it. Mine makes a similar noise and I was thinking shocks. The place I bought it from suggested having it lubed as they may have washed away some of the grease when they washed the wheel wells.
I was also figuring a 6 year old car with 32K miles on it may just need the bushings replaced.
I took the front tires off and sprayed some silicone lube on all the rubber bushings. This made it quiters but the noise is still there. I guess I will just wind up replacing the shocks, these look to be stock and my car has 91k miles on it. I guess I will be looking into a set of 04 Z06 shocks when the time comes.
