I need to flush and replance my clutch fluid, that thing is pitch black and looks more burnt motor oil than brake/clutch fuild. Maybe thats why the clutch is so heavy!
Do you guys have any tips, or how to's on how to do it. I've done it on other cars but never on a C5.
Don't know the "official proceedure, but what i do is take a turkey baster and suck out 80% from the resevior, then replace with new fluid...and repeat the process a few weeks later. That'll get ya pretty close to a complete flush. Just my $.02.
Sounds more to me like either your slave cylinder is going or you got a clog in the line.
To bleed the clutch you'll have to crawl under the car up by the bell housing and you'll find a very small longish tube (should be next to line running in from clutch master reserve) that you'll have to loosen while someone presses down on the clutch pedal.
It's a B-tch job. LAPD sells a hose replacement hose that comes up into the motor compartment to bleed the clutch. I just ordered one to install with new clutch setup.
