I was at ARE last Thursday when they fired up my new motor for the first time. Wade's first comment when he came out of the car was "Well, it looks like you get to fall in love with this car all over again." He might be right. In some ways the same sound, but a WAAAAY more smoothly running engine (and we hadn't replace the old O2 sensors yet...letting it burn out the old stuff first)

Car sounds awesome, little less cam, 427 alum block (4.080 x 4.080) with 175 shot of nitrous, Cartek clutch. Kept the progressive custom long-tube headers, still no cats.

Since this is my last trip to Toronto with this car, I asked them to keep it for a week and do new program, to do some road driving and check for leaks, anything loose etc. and after breaking things in a little do final dyno on the car NA and with the juice. I HOPE the Cartek holds on nitrous....the last clutch let go at about 650rwtq at 3800rpm and it was still climbing like going up a cliff!

Valve train is MUCH quieter on this motor than the last. The engine compartment is surprizingly quiet actually.

Here are some videos I took Thursday afternoon. If you are only up to downloading one video, do the driveaway one (#4); otherwise, have fun. The best way to listen to these is with audio run through your home sound system or desktop set with a subwoofer. There is a strong base component to the exhaust that you won't get listening on a lap top. Almost boomy.

I intend to pick the car up this Friday and drive to Atlanta (trailer) for TOE JAM II! So far so good. Wish me luck.

Good luck dude! There is no reason why everything shouldn't be perfect now. All the super stroker and clutch technology has come together at this date. Let us know how the dyno tuning works out & the clutch.

At this point I think I will bring it to BG but I don't know that I will drag race it there. Motor and clutch will barely be broken in and Beech Bend is not exactly the stickiest track in the world. Besides, I had thought I'd come home first so at the moment, don't have a way to get my drag racing tires and wheels up to BG.

We'll see.

Cartek clutch. Tom Garland lost his Cartek clutch on juice this weekend so I am still worried about it being able to take the full load. We will see on dyno later this week.

You win the prize! :D :D :D No black, blue, oily smoke coming out. Even with fried O2 sensors, the idle did hunt some but the exhaust remained clear.
