Well maybe it is someone with an axe to grind with Wet Okole people. Let em grind all they want. That kind of response so EARLY in this conversation HAD to be a setup. A bunch of votes and no comment in the string. Somebody with no cojones. Maybe they think that we are a bunch of country bumpkins or something.

Wet Okoles (someone asked) fit tightly over the seat in 2 parts. One part pulls down over the back of the seat and the other straps underneath the seat bottom. Good fit everywhere. Like RG, I've been known to sweat a little from time to time and this seat cover deals with it. I also Scuba dive and thought there might be that kind of rubber smell lingering in the car and there is not. They are inert, reliable and help minimize wear on my leather seats underneath. I changed the entire interior of my car from firethorne to black (glove box, door inners, carpet, all the trim) and black for the seats was possible for cheap by using the Wet Okole's. ARE put a nice finished off hole in my WO's to feed Simpson harnesses through. They did a good job of it I think. Specter-Werks did the rest of the color change. I got door inners and some other trim from John Thawley at SW when he switched his car to Torch Red. Good deal for me.

Funny how this started as a setup for undermining WO and ended up being a testamonial to them. I think this was all just :bs

Makes you wonder if it's the same with the Granatelli MAF. The same comments apply there.

Maybe some people bought them thinking they would get a few tenths in the 1/4 mile. After all, this is a "performance mods..." poll.

i was directing the questions toward performance mods, but people giving there opinions and experinces with apperance mods is a good thing for all forum members also.if forum members keep trading opinions, experinces etc... in my opinion it can benefit everyone, except maybe vendors.L.O.L. with tour next mod purchase.c5magred2 :D :seeya

I agree - I was going to buy a GMS MAF but with all the negative opinions about it I will not. We are all here to help each other out. The only people that would be upset by this is the vendors. You can see from this pole that is what is happening. If something doesn't work why shouldn't we be allowed to share that info?

Hey guys did you ever think that some people might just click on the pole and then realize they just voted against these seat covers and didn't know it? I just did. I thought I had to click to get opinions on the seat covers I didn't think it would put me down for a no vote. I went back and read more carefully and I'm sure I voted with out knowing it.

Yep, I am sure the 24 votes for the GMS MAF were just accidents.

I for one would never have had my 4 day seat cover experiance come up unless posted, just as on another post twin turbos(which i cherish)never would of come up because of how obscure they are.But the fact remains I dont like W.Okoles and sheep skins make me feel more plush, dug deeper and this makes me feel more secure.
By next year Im sure I'll find a great seat or upholsterer to give my drivers seat the best of all worlds.Sorry for rocking so many worlds over a piece of neoprene made to fit a seat.I cant even imagine why so many feelings are hurt but I mean no malice to anyone.Good Luck Dave S.

i do not have anything against any of the supporting vendors on this forum.all of the vendors i have dealt with have done an excellent job with my purchases.i just want to make my forum friends more aware of some of the mods that are not what some of the vendors claim.i will not single out any vendors, but they know what items are not what they claim and maybe this will help clean up some of the nonsence and benefit everyone. :seeya

This is an "opinion" poll and opinions differ. They are not necessarily based on empirical evidence. For example, I have no axe to grind, don't work for or against any product or vendor and I'm not particularly happy with the notchy, stiff (after more than 4K miles break-in) Ripper shifter. But, hey, the stock is as bad the other way. Well, you ask for opinion, you get it--surprise! It has been my experience that if some respondent goes "off on a tangent" on one of these threads others will follow. Such is life on the web.

May all your future mods work to your satisfaction, one and all!

Oh, and as for seats, since someone brought it up anyway, I suggest having a good upholster remove the leather inserts (center sections, bottom and back) and replaced with tweed cloth. Much more comfy and secure from MY experience. But, of course, your satisfaction may vary...

Since there seems to be so much slandering of products here, I'll go the other way and give some quick, mostly positive reviews of my mods:
1) Firestone Firehawsk - Better handling, better feel, MUCH quieter. Relatively inexpensive, and still run flats. LOVE em.
2) GMAF - Some top end pickup but seems to bog a little more bottom end.
3) Donaldson - Definite top end pickup. Car used to struggle a little at about 5k. Couldn't breathe. Now its great!
4) B&B PRT's. By far the best mod. Love the sound, no idea if performance changed. No resonance problem like I've read about. Especially love the sound when I shift and the tone of the exhaust note drops momentarily, sounds kinda like Steve McQ's car in Bullit. :yesnod:
5) Don't even get me started on my stereo mods!:D
All in all, I'm happy with every mod.

Good for you! It's great to see a positive post. I'm running a Blackwing, GMAF, Powerduct and Coupler, X-pipe and A&A mod. Some 1for performance, some for appearance and some for sound. Have I dynoed? No. Have I run it at the Strip? No. Does the car now burn rubber in any temperature, at any humidity and on any road surface? Yes. It didn't do that before. That's confirmation enough for me that something extra is happening under the hood and everything is working in concert. "Light" mods are additive. I don't believe you get huge gains from simple bolt-ons. If people do believe that, they will be disappointed or are fooling themselves. As are you, I also am extremely pleased with everything I've done as far as performance, appearance and sound.
