Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (Gen II)
Powerloader II for 6speed :(
I am sure the A4 get a big change. But I did not "Feel" a huge difference with a 6 speed. A little more in the low end but nothing like I felt adding MAF ends and MAFT. I tuned it with Autotap and it's running crazy now!!
I got everything from Exit28 :D
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (Ha-Ha)
Why did people vote for the WET OKOLE Seat Covers? Whats wrong with them?
Yah I am not sure who wouldn't love the Wet Okole covers. I have had a set on my car for over 2 years now and they are awesome. I am not just saying this because I sell them, I had the covers like a year before I even started selling ANYTHING.
I have sold probably 60 sets of them and only a few people werent impressed with them. One of the people wasnt impressed with them until he installed them, then he was very happy with them.
Polls like this just give people the ability to anonymously slander a product with no explanation.
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (MattG)
I took my red & black "Wets" off my '98 Pewter Coupe before I sold it. First thing I did with my '00 Pewter Coupe was to put the "Wets" right back on! Love the look, and they feel great. Wet Okole = Great product! :smash:
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! ('99Hardtop)
This voting booth stuff does not work right for tis for there is more thenone mod that a user might be unhappy about.
I add the $1300 breathless rear wing that has lousy mounts ( hand bent and not correctly), and does not allow for full finetuning of wing angle, light metal skin on wing that flexes at speed.
Also their $1200 extractor hood that really is someone elses stock hood with a scoop kluged on. It extracts very little and is nothing more then a heaver weight then stock hood is. The only thing it extracts well is the green in your wallet.
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (Gen II)
Keep in mind that the poll can be misleading. For example, because of timing changes, the Powerloader on a '01-'02 MN6 will do more than it would on the '97-'00. Also, I believe the after-market 'larger' air bridges are more effective on the '01-'02.
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (Gen II)
Opinions, opinions, opinions... I guess that is what this poll is mostly about... It would be interesting to see how many individuals are satisfied with these mods instead :smash:
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (Gen II)
After finally installing my B'day gift Wet Okoles I can tell you in our hot climate states they made my legs sweat and allowed my bottom to slide around.I've heard the same from NV,NM,AZ,Hotter parts of CA.And even humid states like NY.They will make that tissue paper leather last longer, but nothing like the few extra 100 $$$$ I spent on my sheep skins.Comfy ,plush and holds the driver in place just remove and condition the thin leather 3-4x's a year.
Im sure in the correct 1/2 of the US they may work OK.Good Luck Dave S.
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (MattG)
Ditto what Matt said. I count 92 pairs of covers done by us this year and we have had ONE return that I am aware of.
I invite any other folks who have actually used the WET OKOLE seat covers to email or call me about their issues with them. Whether you bought them from us or not. Let's see how real of a situation this is. Wet Okole and Exit28 will make sure we take care of people in the manner that is afforded valued customers.
I have seen many, many positive reviews of the covers here on the Forum, so, I figure this poll is being manipulated by a few;) Oh well, wouldn't be the first time;)
Re: Performance mods that didn't perform !!! (davidmax)
davidmax,
My legs, with shorts on, get sweaty on leather, I know that. I didn't want to add sheepskins to the car, I had a buddy with some very nice ones in his BMW and they weren't comfortable to me to ride on unless it was winter.
How does the sheepskin help hold you down? I never felt that in the BMW.
How did you install the Wet Okole seat covers? Maybe there was a fitment issue that could be corrected. Did your vendor help make it right?
