I posted about 2 weeks ago about a/c pump gonig crazy. but i put it in the shop for a roll cage and never had a chance to do any thing with the a/c. I just got the car back and now realize that it is only happening at idle once you give it gas it goes away. I was told to replace the low pressure sensor. Where is that located? I think that the high pressure sensor is located on the passenger side front next to the belt tensioner. Is this right?
The hi/lo sensors are there to detect the pressure of the Freon (or is it called Fluon now?) within the system. Should it detect a hi or lo condition it will cut power to the a/c compressor.
I don't see how either of these sensors can be causing any noise issue.

it seems like it is going on and off at ilde checked the lbs of freon and it is 1.8lb.

It's normal for the a/c compressor to cycle on/off, especially when it's cool outside because it doesn't have to work as hard to transfer the heat (which is what the a/c does). As opposed to a very hot day in which case it would almost always be engaged.
I'd say if it's cycling on/off every 1-2 minutes, you're fine.
this is happening every one to two seconds. plus the little light on the ac button flickers on and off with it. I scanned it and it did not read anything.

This is typical of a system that's low on freon. Seems like the low pressure switch is doing its job. You'll need to put gages on it to determine if this is the case.
Not sure about the Vette, but most cars are 30 psi on the low side and around 200 psi on the high side (with a/c on and car running).
Or, just buy a can of freon and throttle it in until the compressor stays on with longer duration.
