this seems to be a common problem with Vett tops. Do a search - there are several posts on how some members re-glued it or took it to a top shop and had it worked on.
Happened to me a couple of months ago.Take it to a car glass shop and have them use the adhesive they use to install the windshield on the rear window and you will not have anymore problems with it.

This happened to mine also and took it to a convetible tip/upholstery shop which does quality work. After looking it over and taking the liner out looking at the top there was a lot of deterioration. I ended up replacing the top. I found a brand new one on the forum that was a double twill after market top and it was much better than the original. One of the members sold it to me for about $250 brand new and in the box. It cost me about 200 to get it professionally installed. If you can repair it temporarily I would start looking around for a replacement top. I think after 6 years a lot of owners have experienced similar problems and needed replacement.
