Need info on heads
A friend of mine who is over seas has offered me his heads, I just have to name a fair price. Problem is I don't know allot about heads so here is the rough specs
early 98 f body heads
CNC ported at a local shop with a good reputation
2.02 1.57 valves
285 flow @ .600 he thinks
milled .030
He is also wanting to sell me his Magic stick cam, I'm just worried being milled I won't have the piston/valve clearance. How big a cam could I run and what kind of compression would I be running ?
Since my Flexplate blew up I'm am having the PT2400 restalled as much as they can go with it which is 2800-3200. the rest of my setup is in the sig.
So what would be a fair price for the Heads? and the Cam? or should I pass

Your going to need a new set of push rods and your going to need to figure out what the correct length needs to be. You will need to beg borrow or purchase a push rod checker. I would surely check the valve to piston clearances if the heads were milled. Early C5 heads are less desirable than the later heads but i wouldn't not purchase them because of that reason.
If you have a later C5 you will need the early valve covers and (I think ) different coil mounting stuff.
