Default Screens / Cutting Down The Dust

I had this nutty idea

To cut down on the dust under the hood from the screens.

I am cutting and installing some prefilter material ( the foam stuff )
behind the screens.
I still have some plastic left after drilling the three 1 1/4 holes.
Attaching with velcro.

Anybody try this ?

What do you think ?

Adding a hood seal will significantly help keep the under hood area clean!!

Example of a hood seal:

Please copy and save the picture if you want it. I will remove it from my photobucket account later in the week and it will not be available after it is removed from the account.

sounds like a neat idea. I dont see how it could hurt as long as you dont cut back on too much air flow. Let us know and take lots of pics

go with the polyester media roll (available from grainger) it will do the job without cutting the airflow as much as foam will. I even use it as a wrap on my Halltech Stinger.
