Default Blackwing disassembly

Has anyone disassembled their Blackwing filter? Is it even possible to take it apart?

Thanks.

No...I think mine is molded. Why do you want to take it apart?

I want to get the plastic parts painted to match the other engine parts.

no need to take it apart to clean it, just run some water in it and use an old toothbrush, then let it dry and re-oil it.

you could probably just mask off the filter area to paint it
