Could this be a fuse problem?
I just finished installing the HUD and it all went well. I think I miht have blown a fuse but not sure. (Didnt disconect the batt) When I was installing everything I noticed when I tried to plug the Cig lighter in I made it spark, I didnt put it on just right. I then disonected the bat finished the install.
Now the cig lighter doesnt work, and more importanly the lights on the radio and temp/AC are both lit like its at night. Also the MPH blue light is not lit. The Twilight is turned off, and when I turn the lights on the MPH then lights up but the light for the radio and Temp both look like its at night. During the day you really can see it at all.
This is a 2000 Manual C5.
Ok I replaced the Fuse and now the Cig lighter works, but I still have the problem with the display lights not showing up bright for the day and th MPH still does not display. When I turn the lights on then the MPH displays. I forgot to mention before. I put in a bulb while I had the speedo out. There was not a bulb for the Airbag so I bought one $8.00 a bulb. I bought 4, so if anyone needs some let me know. But anyway I installed a bulb in the spot where there was not one. Could that do it?
Anyone know what I should look for?

Not like I got any help with this anyway. I took everythign apart and it was the extra bulb i put in where the Airbag light is. I do not know why they even had this there without a light bulb but by me putting a bulb in where it looks where it goes it caused this problem.
Someone suould put this in the notes somewhere so it will save someone a lot of greef!
