i recently purchased a set of chrome z06 rims and after i mounted them on the car, i noticed that there is a small chip about the size of a pea on one of the rims. the tire guy assures me that the chip was there when he mounted the tires and i'm not having much luck with the place that i bought them from.
what i'm wondering is if there's a way to safeguard this chip from spreading further. i was thinking about clear nail polish, or super glue etc. has anyone ever dealt with this?

I would get a can of the engine clear coat "spray can" from a parts store or even WalMart and use a small brush to cover it up. The engine clearcoat is alot more durable than regulat clearcoat.
