Why so many problems.......?

I bet the average Corvette buyer is unaware of the levels of problems we on this forum observe.
Seriously though, I think the C5 is a really reliable car - no worse than my other 2 vehicles. The problems it does have are exacerbated here so much that they seem like major epidemics, but they're not. The Vette is great!
I know ONE other guy with a c5 that races. Everyone else I know with a Vette doesn't drive nearly to the extremes that Shawn and I do.
Most people think 350hp is PLENTY. And on the street it really is more than enough.
The last All Corvette show I went to, there was only one guy there that knew about the forum. Of course he was a Racer.

Actually, my problems have been very minor by nature. These cars aren't built of glass. You can drive them hard with out breaking them. It's only when you start expanding the horspower/torque of the motor, that you need to expand the limits of everything else...i.e. brakes, suspension, clutch etc etc..
It's really a matter of stress. Everything needs to work in harmony for you to get the most out of the car.
Good Luck
