Default Reduced engine power

Every once in a while I turn the key to on and My DIC displayes reduced engine power and when I start the car it seems like it is only running maybee 4 cylinders. What could be the cause of this problem. the code that keeps popping up is 10PCM 1518HC. Can someone help with this and help figure out and maybee send me a diagram of where to find this problem.

Wow did I throw a curve ball at everyone? Now everytime I turn my key on to run before I start I recieve this code. this code happens without even starting the car. What can cause reduced engine power?

I believe 1518 is the TAC control module circuit. If this is an occasional code I would start by looking for the module connection, wiring or the circuit ground.

Yes, P1518 will set the 'Reduced Engine Power' message. Here are some detailed instructions for testing the circuit. There are some easy things you can verify with a test light.

OK while performing this check step by step I get to step 3 where I am recieving 12.3 volts on the Throt Cont fuse with the ignition off. It then tells me if the lamp light then go to step 31 which is repair the ignition feed circuit for a short to voltage. refer to wiring repairs in wiring systems. if there is a short I wouldn't recieve power to that fuse correct? with the ignition on I also recieve 12.3 volts to the ThrotCONT fuse. Am I not supposed to recieve power to this fuse when ignition is off?
