Interior lights stuck ON + keyless entry not working
Car is a 99 Coupe, MN6. Battery is 2 months old and FOB is about 4 months old.
Car was totally dead this morning. Jump started fine and volt readings OK. Noticed when I drove around the block that my interior lights were still on -- checked both doors and hatch to ensure they were closed. Interior lights still on.
Drove home, exited car, shut door....interior lights still on. Attempted to lock doors with key FOB -- no response from car. Car does not respond to any FOB command (lock, unlock, pop hatch).
Car starts and runs fine (battery was dead presumeably from battery drain -- I must not have noticed the interior lights on the last time I had exited the car).
Since the battery was totally dead, do I need to reprogram the FOB, which would explain why it wasn't working?
Why won't the damn interior lights shut off? Possible door jam/hatch switch gone bad? Something else?
Thoughts appreciated.

Before you get to involved in the problem, take a liik at that switch and make sure that it is NOT on the fully up position.PLEASE let us know what you find.
