Yesterday my passenger window went down but now it won't go back up. I checked the fuses and they are OK.
Any suggestions?
It could be as simple as the wiring harness coming loose between the door and the body. Does it work with either switch (passenger side or drivers side)? I'm afraid that it is the regulator which is a common problem with our C5's.
I will tell you this in all seriousness. Try slamming the door shut, it has worked for other people on the forum.

Thanks Paul.
Neither switch will make it go up.
I will try the door slam after TrainMom gets up later this morning.

I can confirm this procedure. Mine was stuck in the up position. While pressing the switch on driver's door, I slammed the door shut and it worked. Prevented me from having to take the panel off and free up the motor. Good luck!

The rubber accordian tube between the door and body has TWO wiring harnesses in it. Press the window UP switch and Pinch the tube and find the harnesses. Shake the tube/wiring harnesses and see if that will cause the window to raise!! If it does,, you need to find the loose, damaged or corroded connection in that connector.
ixed my passenger window last night. It quit working a few years ago and had the motor replaced under warrenty. Since then it has quit working (always in the up position, thankfully) 5-6 times. This is my no cost fix and it has worked every time. Remove the door panel and pull down the black rubber like seal. Locate the motor. Using the side of a hammer or vice grips, hit the motor at the same time you are pressing the down button. Go ahead and hit it pretty sharply. Presto! Down goes the window. Good luck.
I tried the door slam method and learned that the passenger window now goes up and down only with the passenger door switch and only when the door is open.
I tried wiggling the wires between the door and the frame with no effect.
The passenger window will not work using the driver's side switch, with the passenger door either open or closed.
It looks to me like a bad connection somewhere between the frame and the internal door electrical components.
Now I have something to look at tomorrow when I have more time.
Thanks for the help guys! At least the window is up as rain is on the way Tuesday.
The car is at the dealer and I am driving a loner SUV.
I hung out for several hours this morning to see if it would be an easy fix. They replaced the window control module with no effect so they have decided it must be the control switch on the driver's door and it is "on order."
Note that my right outside mirror has only worked some of the time since I bought the car new.
I will let you know what the result is when they get it fixed.
