Default Bras... What do you use???

I'm taking a "road trip" in two weeks.....

I'll be driving to Florida and I'm thinking about how "fooked up" my nose piece is going to be with all the June bugs and Skeeters between here and there.....

I'm thinking of purchasing a front bra system and I'm leaning towards a color matched Colgan.....

What do you guys use / recommend / or have now? Are there any alternatives to using a bra?

Spray on/Wash off clear protectant?

Five coats of NXT wax? Or use Zaino???

Any input is greatly appreciated.....

Buy a GM Bra, it does the job. Easy to put on after intital installation.

I have Speed Lingerie. I have used it about 5 times. It works good but basically rips every time I use it. I have sent it back so many times for repair I can't count. Don' waste your money on their product. I tried a Colgen on my BMW, never got out of the driveway. I couldn't open the hood once shut and ended up breaking the hood release cable. That went back too. I would look at the nylon slip on/slip off bra if I were to do it again.

power tour?
I use the Speed Lingerie bra on long trips only. color matching and no flapping on the body to rub the paint.
They are tight and hard to install when cold. sit it in the sun before you install and it stretches a little.
The GM bra always gets good reviews and it is less expensive.

Another vote for the GM bra here. Easy on, easy off and it doesn't break the bank.

Ahhh..... Decisions, decisions

Anyone have any feedback on the Colgan color matched? (On a Vette, not a BMW....)

Thanks for all the replies, so far......

If its only for the trip, I'd go with the GM or LeBra ($60 and it works fine ... I've used it for 5 years. ... no damage/scratches).

If you want style, you can't beat the Colgan

I use the Speed Lingerie bra on long trips only color matched to Nassau Blue and have had rubbing and chaffing that removed paint on the front point of the bumper. For the $$ and the damage, I would buy a GM bra and save the $$. Had it not chaffed the paint to the primer I might be in another position. 99 Nassau Blue

I 've had a Colgan torch red bra and matching mirror protectors for almost a year now. Very easy & quick to put on and off. It's a good tight fit. No problems to date and very satisfied for the money!! I remove it between trips & drives to do a spray wax detail. Hope this helps.

I have a Covercraft and think the C5 version is not as good as their C4 version. It just doesn't fit as nicely s I cannot recommend it. I plan to buy a GM one and try it.

Best bang for the buck, and it fits nice too.
2nd choice is the Colgan bra combined with the mirror bra. Also fits nice, but costs a little more.

I use the C5reations.com nylon bra. It is very easy to install and remove. It's extremely compact when off, about the size of a pair of sweat socks rolled up. They also have matching mirror covers. They come in several covers to match your car's paint. They do not scratch your paint and you can wash them in your washing machine to clean them. It takes me about a minute to put mine on, after the initial installation, half the time to remove.

Where in north Jersey are you from? If you like, I could show mine to you. I also am from the very northwestern-most area of NJ.
