Guys, I was using the tech tips on here about how to change an oil pressure sensor. I got it installed and put everything back together. Good news...pressure is fine again. Bad News...when I start the car the electronic read-out displays "Reduced Engine Power". After 6-7 seconds of running a whining noise begins within the engine. It sounds like its coming from the throttle body..but I cannot be positive. Any thoughts? I looked around and didn't find any disconnected hoses. One note though...as I disconnected one of the hoses for the install the coolant fluid drained out of the engine. The tank looks very dry...could this be the culpret? Just put in new coolant (Dex-Cool is recommended right?). I'm close to having it towed to Chevy...but I don't want to drop that kind of cash. Thanks to anyone with comments.
Was the coolant from the throttle body connections?
Did you list what you disconnected as you went along and then verify each was reconnected when the manifold went back on? I would also pull the codes, it may be an electrical connection as well.
