Default Header Advice

Hi all. I am looking to purchase a set of headers and have narrowed my choices down on the brands I am going to go with. I am having some trouble though getting a straight answer on whether I should go with 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" primaries. I may go with a mild FI in the future but do not think I will build this car much over 600 whp. If I do go over that hp mark, then the cost of selling these headers for another type or going with a TT setup will be figured into the budget at that time. I just need a set that will get me the best power characteristics for my current set up with some room to grow. I am all ears and thanks for the insight

I believe I was told that on a stock cube motor, go w/ the 1 3/4 primaries - should handle any bolt on or other mods you make, short of more cubic inches - and as you say, IF you go FI in the future, you'd figure in an additional header cost at that time.

The pro's are recommending I go with a 1 3/4 if I am staying stocked cubes with out a power adder and step up to 1 7/8 if I plan on going with a power adder. I am being told I will loose some mid range torque with the 1 7/8 vs the smaller primaries on a stock cubed car with no power adder....it just depends on how soon I plan on going FI.
